My friend Rachel is amazing. She is an artist, designer and a tall strong goddess. I met her a couple of years ago in her now husband, Dat Magic Bro’s, yoga class. Her and I bonded over our love of the creative things and chilling out. We can ocassionally be found sketching together in coffee shops.

I am so happy to share that she is putting her designs on yoga pants now.

That’s her modeling her Raven’s Claw Yoga Legging. Below are her “Om Explosion” “Love Flush Pink” and the “Bee Royal” legging, which I ordered and will be rocking soon. 😍✌️ Her leggings are custom printed by an awesome company in Canada that mills their own poly/spandex fabric and makes each legging.

Please go checkout her whole catalogue at her online store, Sparkle Priestess. Choose your favorites, because right now she is offering 20% off with the code below.

Her legging brand can also be found on Instagram: @sparklepriestess_clothing. I’m so happy and proud of this woman. Have fun browsing her legging collection! I can’t wait to see her designs on people’s legs.

If you’ve spent any time with me on social media, you might know that I love smoothie bowls. 😋

Smoothie bowls. It's what's for breakfast.

Many of you have asked me “What is a smoothie bowl?” And “How do you make them?!” I wrote another article here. A smoothie bowl is blended frozen fruit that you put in a bowl and top with fresh fruit, granola, nuts and anything else that suits you.

I made one today and documented the process. I love making these as a way to be creative and inspire myself to eat something delicious and healthy. I hope you’ll see how easy and fun they are so that you can start making your own!

I don’t have a “go to” recipe, because I always use whatever fruit is already in my kitchen when crave a bowl; however, I do almost always use pre-cut frozen bananas as my base.

I cut and freeze them myself. Make sure to remove the peel before you freeze. I learned the hard way that its hard to get it off after freezing.

I put any other fresh or frozen fruits in my food processor (a blender works too, I just don’t have one) with the banana and blend. The trick to smoothie bowls is getting the mixture thicker than a typical smoothie, so I add little to no liquid. If it won’t blend after a few minutes add 2 tbs of water or almond milk at a time, until you get this thick creamy texture.

Holler! 🙌🏼

Now scoop it into a bowl and choose your toppings.

I like adding other colorful fruits and shredded coconut to make it pretty, as well as nuts and granola for crunch.

Top it and enjoy!

I want to see your creative bowls! Please have fun creating one and then share your pic with me on Instagram. Tag it with #HaveAFruitDay so I can see! 😙

This weekend, my friends and I went to a yoga class in a new brewery in San Jose. The one hour yoga class followed by beer and hanging out, was hosted by Downward Drinking Dog at Hapa’s Brewery.

I loved the event because it was such a good way to keep yoga fun and lighthearted, as well as bring together a great group of people. Seasoned yogis as well as people who had never tried yoga before, came to the class and had fun! We smiled. We did yoga. We made new friends. We had a free beer. We ate at the food truck. Everyone felt the good spirit.

Downward Drinking Dog was confounded by Lori and Patrick, who are pictured below. Say hello and chat with them when you go to one of these events! I was happy to meet them. These guys have a great intention of simply making yoga fun and accessible to anyone (over 21, haha), and inviting together a positive community.

They host this kind of thing in different drinking venues nearly every weekend. Check out their website to find an event that you can join! I think you’ll have fun.

If you live near San Jose, I also recommend checking out Hapa’s. The brewery is casual and modern warehouse. It was a fun setting for yoga, but also an excellent place to spend a couple of hours having beers with friends on the weekend. I’m going back.

Love,

Bri
