I participate in Yoga Challenges on Instagram as a way to develop my yoga practice and learn new poses. I also do them as a way to connect with other yogis as we support and encourage each other through the challenges.

You can follow along with these challenges, or participate with us on Instagram @brianadeckard.

A little bit goes a long way and that is why I created this 7 Day Yoga Challenge on my YouTube Channel Move with Bri. I wanted to help you spend 15-40 minutes on your Yoga mat every day for one week to see how transformative that time can be. In the course of a week, you will start to feel the benefits of regularly dedicated time to your movement practice.

Yoga undeniably has benefits for the body’s strength, flexibility and balance; and also has emotional and mental benefits that can truly change your life. What do you say to 7 Days of FREE guided Yoga that will help you begin to experience more ease, balance and happiness in your life? Click the video below to begin Day 1 of your 7 Day Yoga Journey “Movement Is Medicine” and find the link to the full 7 Day playlist that is on YouTube below! Please make sure to SUBSCRIBE to Move with Bri on YouTube for updates when I release new content as well as to support my channel and help my content rise to the top.

I put my heart and soul into creating this challenge as a way to benefit all levels of Yogis who desire to create positive change in their own life that will ripple effect to the lives around them. I truly hope you enjoy this journey. Leave me a comment below the video on YouTube each day of the challenge after you finish to let me know how it went. I love hearing from you and reading your comments. I’ll talk to you soon.

In January, I participated in a 15 day Yoga Challenge on Instagram to work on my splits.

Below, I have laid out the 15 day program with links to the pose/description by the challenge hosts. Whether you want to work on accomplishing or even improving your splits, this is a great way to get you moving forward. Practicing these poses regularly will not only help you into splits, but also relieve tightness in the hamstrings, lower back and hips.

Follow along to this 15 day program to improve. I recommend doing a quick warm up each day and holding the pose of the day 10-15 deep breaths, two times. Let’s begin!

Have fun with this! Be patient with your body and honor where you are at. If you’re pose seems far from where the hosts are, remember that it is a journey of discovering what the body can do. Not forcing a certain shape. Stay consistent and you will progress.

I look forward to hearing about how it goes. Please share your journey in the comments below! You can also share pictures of your daily poses on Instagram with the hashtag #YogaChallengeWithBri, so we can support you in your quest for splits!

This challenge, #StartWithSplits was hosted & sponsored by @yogaluls @hollapop @summerperez and @wanderyogi & @aloyoga @liforme @infinitystrap and @toesox.

After I participated in @catbradleyyoga’s Yoga Challenge, #CatsWheelSeries, to improve my Wheel Pose, many people expressed interest in learning more about Wheel as well. Below are the poses that host, @catbradleyyoga (Lorraine Bradley), gave us to work on during this 10 day challenge.

This is a great program for you if you are wanting to learn more about back bends, open your shoulders and hips and strengthen the muscles in your back. I encourage you to do this same program by doing one pose a day. You don’t have to spend 20-60 minutes doing yoga each day. Although that is great if you can, doing a quick warm up (Sun Salutations are good for this) and then holding the pose of the day for 5-10 breaths, two times will help with progression. For bonus work you can also do a few additional poses Lorraine offered which fit the theme of each day.

Without further ado, here are you poses. Follow the links to see the poses and descriptions by our Instagram host @catbradleyyoga:

This challenge is good for learning Wheel Pose for the first time or gaining a better understanding of deep backbends. Do the best you can and don’t give up! Being consistent pays off. This was my second challenge hosted by @catbradleyyoga. My first was her Series on Forearm Stand. Both times, I have been really happy with the guidance and practice she gives me in different areas of my physical yoga practice. I’d love to hear how it goes for you! Leave comments below to share your progress while doing this program for Wheel Pose.
